Roberta Onyekwelu is a qualified social worker, children’s advocate, and experienced leader within Children’s Services. She is committed to safeguarding children, strengthening families, and ensuring that vulnerable young people receive the care, protection, and opportunities they need to thrive.

Roberta holds a bachelor’s degree in Business and Finance from the University of London and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Royal Holloway, University of London. Her academic background, professional training, and extensive experience have equipped her to provide effective leadership, advocacy, intervention, and support to children and families facing complex challenges.

In her current professional role, Roberta oversees several areas within Children’s Services. She draws upon both her personal experiences and professional expertise to advise, support, and empower individuals and families as they navigate difficult circumstances. She is also known as a trusted confidante who listens with compassion, offers encouragement, and helps others discover renewed hope and strength.

 

Roberta’s commitment to service extends beyond her professional role. She has served twice as President of Ezidi Bu Eze United Kingdom and currently serves on its Board of Trustees. The voluntary and charitable organisation promotes community development and provides support to individuals and families in need in her native Delta State, Nigeria. Through her leadership and continued involvement, Roberta has helped strengthen the community by contributing practical resources and supporting projects that enrich the lives and well-being of local children, families, and community members.

 

A devoted prayerful Christian, Roberta is actively involved in her church, where she serves in the choir and supports children, families, and other church members whenever needs arise. Her faith is demonstrated through her compassionate service, dedication to prayer, and willingness to stand with others during challenging seasons.

Roberta is passionate about using her voice, experience, and influence to advocate for children, uplift families, and inspire others to rise above adversity. Her life reflects the belief that, through faith, hope, perseverance, and God’s grace, pain can be transformed into purpose.

Roberta lives in the United Kingdom with her husband and their three beautiful children, where she continues to build a legacy of faith, service, compassion, and purposeful impact.
